Parent-coach is a program option available to learners in grades 4-8 only.
Within the Parent-coach program, there are two routes:
- Parent-coach
- Parent-coach + Prisma Math Coaching
How are they different?
If you choose to be your learner’s math coach (Parent-coach program without Prisma Math Coaching), here’s what you can expect:
- As a parent math coach, you would:
- Support and monitor your learner’s Zearn progress
- Review your learner’s end-of-mission Final Checkpoints, providing feedback about their work and revisions as you would their project tasks
- Keep track of the Zearn and Final Checkpoint badges they earn
- Reach out to your learner’s Numbers Lab coach if you need additional resources or have questions
- Your learner would:
- Attend Numbers Labs (live math workshop) to participate in group learning experiences
- Follow the recommended Zearn pacing with your support and monitoring
- Complete Final Checkpoints and submit to you for feedback
- Revise their work based on your feedback
- Seek additional support from you as needed
If you choose to opt in to math coaching with a Prisma math coach, here’s what you can expect:
